At the start of March 2017, FIG were assigned by the NHS to complete the design and development of two websites for Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group (MCCG), a merger of the three existing CCGs, and Manchester Health and Care Commissioning (MHCC), a single commissioning function established with Manchester City Council.
As both websites were legally required to go live before the 1st April 2017, FIG got to work straight away drafting the aesthetic design and thinking about the functionality.
The requirement for the new sites was to be fully responsive, with a modern design that fits in with both the strict NHS brand guidelines and the new MHCC brand guidelines. The main purpose of both sites was to communicate clearly who they are and to represent a central hub of information for individuals seeking healthcare advice.
“With such a tight deadline and a legal requirement to go live beforehand, it was a relief to leave the project in such safe hands.” – Senior Communications Manager, Manchester Health and Care Commissioning.
