New website generates a 106% increase in online visitors for Buxton & Leek College

We’ve just completed the design and build of a new website for Buxton & Leek College (BLC). With a target audience in the 16-19 age group, getting it right was critical to its ability to attract new students.
Before the build began we undertook comprehensive user testing in collaboration with the College, assessing how the existing site was being used and identifying key areas for improvement. We also consulted with a broad spectrum of stakeholders about their requirements and expectations for the new site.
Built using WordPress so it can be quickly and easily updated, the new site:
- is much more fluid, engaging and creative
- offers an enhanced user experience
- offers clearly defined navigation pathways for school leavers, apprenticeships, adult learners and businesses
- is highly functional ensuring consistency across online and offline communications

Since its launch the new site has delivered a 106% increase in visitors to the application page, as well as an overall reduction in bounce rate of 31%!
And we’re not stopping there. BLC is now working with us to expand its digital marketing efforts with a PPC strategy for on-going recruitment throughout the academic year.
