Marketing That Our Clients Love

Valentine’s Day wasn’t just an excuse for flowers, chocolates and romance, it also gave FIG’s Marketing Partners an opportunity to share the love and let their customers know just how much they mean to them. 

Here are just a couple of examples of what our customers did to share some love this Valentine’s Day.

Love, iBottles

Based in Chinley in the High Peak, iBottles is a leading distributor of high quality plastic bottles and containers across a number of different sectors.

As its Marketing Partner, FIG provides iBottles with marketing support across their design, social media, digital advertising, email marketing, and product photography, so we were able to devise an integrated campaign to coincide with Valentine’s Day.

The idea was simple, a fortnight-long competition running across iBottles’ Facebook page where users had the chance win a three-month flower subscription from Bloom & Wild. To enter, we asked people to like the competition post and tell us what was their favourite iBottles product and why.

To promote the competition, FIG’s designers created a suite of eye-catching web banners, social media posts and header images, email signatures for the iBottles staff, and an emailshot that went out to their customers at the beginning of the competition, then coordinated their activity to drip feed throughout the first two weeks of February when the competition was running.

Visually the campaign really stood out, but it also had tremendous engagement, including:

  • Facebook page views up by 109%
  • A 1000% increase in page likes
  • A reach of 12,527 Facebook users
  • A 1320% increase in post engagement, equating to 199 different actions (likes, shares, comments etc)
  • 113 clicks through from the competition post to the iBottles website.

Not only did the campaign generate fantastic engagement, it provided us with great research about how iBottles’ customers were using their products. We discovered that a lot of their products were being reused and repurposed in a variety of ways, from hand sanitiser bottles being refilled at eco stations, to homemade smoothies and sauces being stored in the food safe bottles, there were some great, innovative and environmentally friendly uses which are helping fuel a recycling campaign planned later in the year.

Better Together with Glossop Cartons

Sometimes, it’s just nice to know that the people you work with, care, and Glossop Cartons’ Valentine’s campaign did just that.

As one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of carton board packaging products, Glossop Cartons has been working throughout the pandemic, albeit in a different way.

With a romantic poem and imagery reminiscent of better times, the Better Together campaign was created to remind customers that even though business has been challenging lately, it’s still better when we work together. Ending with a thank you to all their customers for their continued business, the campaign was communicated via Glossop Cartons’ social media, website, on staff’s email signatures and over email marketing too, and was a great way to let customers know that they are very much appreciated.

The campaign resulted in:

  • A click through rate of 4.4% compared to an industry average of 2.18%
  • Six click throughs to the contact page on the Glossop Cartons website direct from the emailshot
  • In the week that the emailshot went out, it was responsible for 8.7% of all web visitors received during that period
  • Page clicks from social content in the first two weeks in February increased by 244% compared to the first two weeks of January
