The FIG team is delighted to have been shortlisted once again in Prolific North Champions Awards in the PR campaign category for our work with SRL and accelerating change in the Highways Industry.
The original Prolific North Awards, this flagship event has become a staple of the industry calendar over the past nine years for hundreds of professionals across creative, digital, tech, media and marketing.
FIG’s ‘The Smart Choice’ PR campaign communicated the breadth and depth of our client SRL’s range to both existing and potential customers, helping it achieve the ambitious growth targets which culminated in its acquisition by 3i Infrastructure in December 2021. Our campaign elements included:
- Exploring a B2C approach, creating a release for consumer press around issues of congestion and reduction of carbon emissions, on the back of an industry first – an independently proven product case study.
- Creating a fun and unique ‘Spotter’ competition for the public. A corporate-social initiative, encouraging schools, pupils, and families to photograph, draw or paint SRL road safety crossings.
- Building open dialogue with industry editors – briefing them one-to-one on SRL’s unique capabilities and informing them about breaking news.
- Monitoring media and developing creative pitches while differentiating SRL from its competitors.
- Initiating conversations with the media and maintaining a continuous open channel of communication to share its views on industry trends and predictions.
- Maintaining a steady flow of editorial within core target media.
- Securing exclusive interview opportunities for spokespeople within SRL with key editors in trade media.
- Generating broader speaker opportunities that helped position SRL as thought leaders within its sector.
- Devising LinkedIn thought leadership articles for key members of SRL’s senior management team.
- Building SRL’s credibility with relevant business award entries.
- Reaching a wider audience via podcast interviews with experienced industry editors across a variety of topics.
- Researching, writing and placing customer case studies within industry press.
