A round up of 2019 – a year of value and achievements for our clients

It’s safe to say that 2019 has been an interesting year for business, and every sector has been met with its own unique set of challenges to negotiate. This year, the FIG team has been fortunate to be chosen as the preferred marketing and communications partner for a wide range of businesses as our integrated services help them overcome their challenges and build a solid platform for growth in 2020.

FIG has had a fantastic year filled with wide, far reaching projects, utilising all of our integrated services. We’re proud that our clients trust us with their marketing and we’re delighted to be able to add value and real achievements that can make a difference to their business.

Here’s just a little a snapshot of some of the things our team has been up to.

A raft of new business for FIG

With a raft of new clients on board, the beginning of the year was filled with optimism and energy for the entire FIG team.

In January, we welcomed Edge Hill University’s FM Team on board to our award-winning Marketing Partner Programme. We were delighted to start the relationship by providing design direction and delivery of their highly visible annual report – a comprehensive 30+ page document that communicated the achievements of the entire FM department for the previous 12 month period. With a selection of iconography and exploration of the University’s brand colour palette, FIG was able to produce a report that was not only creative, but incredibly engaging too.

The report was followed up by a strategic qualitative research project that saw the team at FIG discuss all facets of the FM service with students and staff at the University itself. The findings for this project informed our creative direction and messages for the remainder of the year and the insight has been of real value for all stakeholders.

The start of the year also saw the FIG team engaged for a new project for the UK’s largest electricity distribution network operator, Western Power Distribution. After a competitive pitch process, FIG was selected to lead on a new project to scope out the market for its Flexible Power initiative, followed by the development and delivery of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan.

Topping the winter months off, another new Marketing Partner joined the FIG team with Datagraphic, a leading document automation company, signing up to our programme coupled with a new strategic project to shape the brand and communications for the Ace Centre.

If that wasn’t enough to keep us busy, FIG successfully expanded its remit with Northwood Hygiene Products, beginning the start of a comprehensive PR and media relations campaign.

As well as all this new work FIG introduced a new project management system, Synergist, which presented a number of challenges of how it would support our very bespoke Marketing Partner Programme!

Launching new products and generating leads

We blinked and spring was already here with a plethora of campaigns to keep the momentum going.  

FIG was tasked by Marketing Partner Phonak to support its European Head Office with an innovative paid search and social campaign in the UK. In addition, leader in the development and distribution of advanced communication solutions, Vislink, engaged FIG for a global rebrand and website project and in May FIG helped Bowmer Bond launch its new range of PVC Coated weldable webbing-based solutions to an international audience.

A summer of design

The studio at FIG was swamped with design work during the summer, with Edge Hill University FM team refreshing just about everything, from posters, adverts, vinyls to brochures and a new brand for one of their on-site restaurants. MVIS, one of our long-standing clients ramped up activity with an MVIS Delivers campaign across all of their marketing deliverables and Datagraphic, Northwood and RISCO were also very active during the summer months. There was a raft of corporate presentations delivered, some of them very strategic, positioning our clients at the forefront of their industry.

FIG grows its service offering

One of our Marketing Partners, TEL, initiated a series of videos this year to showcase their innovative, technical solutions. It was a long project, that would take several months, but one that would be very worthwhile for the client. FIG upgraded its photography studio in time for a new Marketing Partner coming on board who needed product photography and senior designer Dave stepped up to lead the project.

Websites, websites, websites

FIG was delighted to work with Datagraphic on its brand new website to reposition the business and speak more plainly to audiences, as well as being chosen as the preferred digital partner for a new site for The Compliance People following a rebrand earlier on in the year. Professional services client, Chafes Hague Lambert, also requested FIG’s expertise to refresh their website and we’re thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Vislink as we work towards updating their new website further with additional functionality and user experience.

Weddings, babies and other celebrations

2019 has been a busy year for the FIG team outside of work too and we’ve had two weddings, one baby born, one 30th birthday, two 40th birthdays, two come back from maternity leave and one depart on maternity leave!

And a pitch!

When most businesses are slowing down to eat chocolate and drink mulled wine, FIG has the excitement of working on a big branding pitch before we finish for our Christmas break. Winning it would be a nice Christmas present and a great start to 2020.
